[Verse 1] Small town on the Yazoo where the cypress stands tall Older than this country, never seen one fall Greasy Row to county seat, we wrote our own name Bel-ZONE-uh on the highway sign, no two of us the same [Pre-Chorus] When the river runs slow and the fields run dry We still find a reason to lift our hands high [Chorus] We are the heart of the Delta, beating loud and true Catfish Capital of the World, and we built it from the blue Yazoo in our veins, the blues inside our bones Belzoni, Mississippi, we are never on our own [Verse 2] Pinetop on the piano, Elmore on the strings Sonny Boy's harmonica still tells you everything Turner's Drug Store radio carried us all night A small town with a sound that crossed the world in flight [Pre-Chorus] When the world forgets your name and the road feels long You can still hear Belzoni in every Delta song [Chorus] We are the heart of the Delta, beating loud and true Catfish Capital of the World, and we built it from the blue Yazoo in our veins, the blues inside our bones Belzoni, Mississippi, we are never on our own [Bridge] For Reverend George Lee who would not back down For every hand that built this town For every catfish pond and every kitchen light We rise up together, we keep on the fight Forty-thousand acres, forty-thousand prayers Mississippi made us, Belzoni taught us care [Verse 3] April brings the festival, the whole world comes to see A town of nearly two thousand throwing open every street We may be small in number but we're tall in what we give This is more than where we're from, this is how we live [Final Chorus] We are the heart of the Delta, beating loud and true Catfish Capital of the World, and we built it from the blue Yazoo in our veins, the blues inside our bones Belzoni, Mississippi, you are never on your own Belzoni, Mississippi, we are never on our own [Outro] Heart of the Delta... heart of the Delta... Belzoni rising... Belzoni rising...

[Verse 1] I've been holding it together for so long Smiling through the pressure, staying strong But underneath the surface, something stirs A quiet voice that's finally being heard Every thought kept spinning, every fear held tight Patterns I've been running from came into the light I don't need to carry all of this alone There's a place where I can finally feel at home [Pre-Chorus] Roots go deep where the real work starts Steady hands, steady hearts [Chorus] Anchor down, let the healing ground you Bloom where the light breaks through You don't have to hold it all together This is where the steady meets the new Anchor down, and bloom [Verse 2] I thought my worth was measured by the weight I bear Perfection was the armor that I learned to wear But strength is not the absence of the storm inside Strength is finding shelter where you're safe to cry No more second-guessing what my body knows No more shrinking down from how my story goes Every scar, every wound, every silent fight Led me to this moment where it all feels right [Pre-Chorus] Roots go deep where the real work starts Steady hands, steady hearts [Chorus] Anchor down, let the healing ground you Bloom where the light breaks through You don't have to hold it all together This is where the steady meets the new Anchor down, and bloom [Bridge] I'm not broken, I'm becoming I'm not lost, I'm just beginning Finding ground beneath my feet Finding strength I didn't know I had in me Grounded care for expansive minds Clarity that stands the test of time Not just insight, forward movement Every session, real improvement [Chorus] Anchor down, let the healing ground you Bloom where the light breaks through You don't have to hold it all together This is where the steady meets the new Anchor down, and bloom [Outro] Anchor and bloom Anchor and bloom You are safe here Anchor and bloom

Verse 1 Canton, twenty-twenty, the Sheraton lights low, you walked in and the whole room started to glow. One look, one word, and baby I knew, every road I'd been walking led me to you. Chorus Shum-dre-a, oh Shum-dre-a, queen of my life, strong as the morning, soft as the night. I can't promise the world, but I'll hold your heart true, you're my good thang, girl, and I'm a fool for you. Verse 2 That jazzy little walk, that smile lighting the room, your hands on the piano turning winter to June. A mother, a friend, the strongest I know, from Benton, Mississippi to wherever we go. Chorus Shum-dre-a, oh Shum-dre-a, queen of my life, strong as the morning, soft as the night. I can't promise the world, but I'll hold your heart true, you're my good thang, girl, and I'm a fool for you. Verse 3 I watched you for thirteen years and never said a word. You were walking out the church when this love in me stirred. I touched you in your side, and girl, I won't deny it, a soft and warm connection, and it never has expired. Bridge When you're down and you're aching, I'll be right by your side, a Hershey's candy bar with nuts and a long Sunday ride. Every February seventh, every May eleventh too, I'll keep on choosing, keep on loving you. Final Chorus Shum-dre-a, oh Shum-dre-a, queen of my life, you remind me of my Mother, girl, you feel just right. I can't touch the stars, but I can hold you close, my good thang, my forever, the one I love most. Spoken Words (speaking, not singing) I... adore you... Shum-dre-a.

About

What a songwright does

A songwright is a maker of songs — built like a playwright or a wheelwright. It means a real craftsperson made this, by hand, for you. That is the whole of our promise in a single word.

Songwright Productions is a Production by AppWT — a Michigan studio crafting for clients since 1997, BBB A+ accredited. We bring that same care to every song: warm, sincere, and built to be kept.

Every Songwright song is written, composed, and produced by (Tony) Anthony P. Paris — by hand, for you.

Questions

Everything you might wonder

How much does a custom song cost?

A custom Songwright song is $197, all-in. One flat price covers the writing, the music, the recording, a mastered MP3 and WAV, and a printed lyric sheet — with no surprise add-ons at checkout.

How long does it take?

Most songs are delivered in 2–3 business days. If you have a wedding, service, or birthday on the calendar, tell us the date and we’ll plan around it; a rush option is available for time-sensitive moments.

How do I order — what do you need from me?

You share your story through a short guided form: the occasion, the names and relationships, the moments and details to include, the genre and tone you want, and the date you need it by. From there, we write and produce your song.

Can I choose the genre and voice?

Yes. Country, gospel, ballad, anthem, pop, instrumental — any style you like — and you can tell us the singer’s voice and the tone (joyful, reverent, playful, tender). You can also point us to a reference song.

Do I own the song? How does licensing work?

Every song is licensed: it’s an original work registered for proof of authorship, Songwright Productions keeps the copyright, and you receive a clear written license for your use. A full-ownership buyout is available — see Song Rights.

Is a custom song really worth it?

A custom song is one of the few gifts that is truly one of one — written for a single person, place, or moment, in their words, and kept forever. It says what an ordinary gift can’t.

Ready to write your story into a song?

Tell us the moment. We’ll hand you back something to keep forever.
